About Playa San Juan

Playa San Juan is situated on the west coast of Tenerife , just 35 minutes from the main Tenerife South airport. Although it is only 12km from Tenerife's ‘louder' resorts, such as Playa Las Americas; Playa San Juan remains a haven of tranquility and one of the few fishing villages where you can still get a glimpse of 'real' Canarian life.

Its long sweeping seafront is dotted with charming cafes, restaurants and old-style tapas bars and the beach has a pretty marina where you can take whale and dolphin sight-seeing trips. What's more, Playa San Juan actually boasts the highest sunshine record on the island!

For those who like to walk or jog, there is a wonderful coastal promenade, offering breathtaking views out to sea. It is especially lovely either first thing in the morning should you be an early bird then you may catch a glimpse of the local fishermen returning with their loaded nets in the picturesque fishing port or just before the sun sets in the evening. If you enjoy playing golf, Playa San Juan is a great base, thanks to the nearby stunning 18-hole, par 72, Albama championship golf course, that has been constructed overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

For the more adventurous, you will soon discover and enjoy the coastal cliff walk, to the left of the apt, along the way you may even spy some hidden coves in amongst this rugged coastline.  If you love nature and like to people watch then this walk is for you.

There's something too in the way of retail therapy, with weekly markets on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Wednesday farmer's market in particular, sells a wealth of truly amazing local produce take time out to sample its'  fayre. Despite its growing tourist appeal Playa San Juan still retains its Spanish roots and offers visitors a ‘real experience' of the island. A lively fiesta lights up the resort in early August when the ‘ Virgen del Carmen' is taken down to the fishing boats amidst dancing and fireworks.

The climate on this stretch of coast is extremely pleasant and twinned with the spectacular views of the shimmering Atlantic , it is a marvelous place to stay and gently unwind, far from city life.

The apartment's ‘ pièce de résistance' is the spectacular 60sq metre private sun terrace! It gives fabulous views on three sides: the coastline and sparkling blue of the Atlantic , to the majestic mountain range and in between, the rich foliage of a banana plantation. From this incredible vantage point you will enjoy the best views in Playa San Juan - in total privacy! So whether relaxing on the sun loungers, dining al fresco, or just enjoying pre-dinner drinks, the unique sun terrace is the place where you'll want to spend most time.

The comfortable bedroom also opens directly onto the sun terrace, so what better way to start your day than stepping out, to be greeted by another glorious morning. The apartment also has a superb fully fitted kitchen, with excellent cooking facilities with ceramic hob ,oven ,toaster ,coffee maker, kettle, microwave, fridge, iron etc, and a charming dining area that encourages good food, good wine and of course good conversation.

The fixtures, fittings and furnishings throughout are of the highest order and are complimented with some lovely finishing touches, which give the apartment a homely ambience. The spacious, lounge offers comfortable seating, television and music system, as well as lovely views across the distant mountains. The modern bathroom has a bath/shower wc and wash basin.

Bed linen, towels, tea towels are provided for the duration of your stay. In the penthouse itself, smoking is not desired, but outside on the terrace it is of course no problem.

There are substantial storage areas and there is also a washing machine in a purpose built area. The apartment has a security entrance and is accessed by stairs or a modern lift.

You do not necessarily need to rely on car hire here, owing to its' central position most things can be reached on foot. The Beach, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, banks etc., are also within walking distance.

Just metres from the apartment and overlooking the marina, is a lovely plaza, with cafes and one of the island's top fish/seafood restaurants. All that's left to say is to go ahead sample these gastronomic delights and enjoy your holiday
